Please note that the INGENIUM I6 3.0L Diesel – Engine Health Check application has been temporarily withdrawn from service.

This is due to the requirement for a new link cable harness, which is necessary to enable accurate detection of engine cranking during the test process.

Until the updated harness is available, please continue to perform primary and secondary diagnosis using the manual compression test method, as detailed in the relevant TOPIx WSM, where compression-related diagnosis is required.

Issue Identified

Investigations have confirmed that the issue is related to Toughbook FZ55 Mk1 and Mk2 machines not correctly collecting compression data, resulting in EHC routines failing to complete successfully on affected vehicles.

Resolution

A new DLL update has been released and is now available within TOPIx Links. This update has been developed to resolve the EHC concerns being experienced across all vehicle platforms utilising SDD diagnostics.

In addition to resolving the compression data collection issue, the DLL update also includes improvements to the timing chain calculation functionality.

Required Action

All retailers and users operating SDD diagnostics should:

- Access TOPIx Links.
- Locate the "IDU dll update" link on the main screen.
- Download and install the latest DLL package.
- Ensure the update is installed prior to carrying out any further Engine Health Check (EHC) testing.
