Internet concerns
My internet has lost connection to your provider, what can I do?
Re-check your internet connection, make sure that you can access TOPIx.
My internet browser is incompatible, or not up to date.
Compare your browsers settings against the TOPIx browser minimum requirements using the link below, and if needed, update your browser to a supported level.

No Response from Module
The installed module on vehicle is shown as no response.
- Capture the TOPIx Diagnostic screen by photo or screen print methods.
- Retry the diagnostic session on the vehicle.
If the above step has not resolved your concern, report the error message, actions taken, along with supporting images.

Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI) and vehicle communications
When connecting the Inline Diagnostic Unit 2 (IDU2) the diagnostic device displays a red and green light.
The IDU communication device may not be recognized by the operating system upon connection through Universal Serial Bus (USB). To check status of the device, follow the process below;
- Connect the IDU2 device through a USB port on the diagnostic computer
- If the IDU2 device displays a faint red light, no further action is required
- If the IDU2 device displays a red and green light, follow the below steps
- Log into the
TOPIx Home Page
- Click on
TOPIx Links Page
on the bottom left corner of the page
- Select IDU Firmware Update v1 or later to begin the download
- When the file is downloaded, open the file to install

Unexpected operation of the Diagnostic Device Agent
I am unable to connect to a vehicle
Verify that the VCI function lamps indicate correct operation, and connection to the vehicle. Resolve any errors with the mechanical connection to the vehicle.
Select
Refresh Connection Status on the TOPIx screen to reset connection to the vehicle. It is normal for a delay to occur before the TOPIx screen refreshes. This is to allow for the TOPIx system to re-establish its connection.

The Diagnostic Device Agent may automatically logout if any of the following occur:
- A significant duration of inactivity / TOPIx session has expired
- Internet connection has been interrupted or lost over time
- Refer to 1.4.12 Exit in the Diagnostic Device Agent – User and Troubleshoot Guide

- Diagnostic Device Agent login has a 60 second timeout to complete.
- User credentials are expected to be entered within 60 seconds after Login is selected.
- Failure to authenticate will occur if the login is not completed within 60 seconds and the login process must be restarted.
